Alaa (Luther) Kanso

An avid reader and ardent writer, Alaa (familiarly recognized as Luther) joined the Stratcom team in January 2023 and is responsible for writing and editing web content for the School of Arts and Sciences.

With over six years of experience, Luther has mainly worked as an English teacher throughout his career at various reputable institutions, including the American Learning Center and the British Council, in addition to freelancing as a writer, editor, and translator. He is also the author of the Literary Insights online blog, on which his pieces of poetry and prose are published. Luther holds a BA and Master’s 1 in English Language and Literature, having received the highest distinction in the English Department at the Lebanese University.
