Did You Know?

Six players in Lebanon’s National Basketball Teams that won the silver title at the FIBA Asia Basketball Cup and the Arab Championship for the first time are LAU alumni. They are Wael Arakji (BS ’16), who also earned the TISSOT MVP title in the first tournament, Elie Chamoun (BE ’18), Ali Mansour (BS ’21), Karim Zeinoun (BS ’21), Aziz Abdel Massih (BE ’20) and Jad Khalil (BS ’21). Khalil returned to his alma mater to inspire young basketball enthusiasts at the LAU Jr. NBA League draft event.

Real-World Experience

A team of our students topped the 2022 LAU Case Competition, a student-led initiative providing their peers from various universities with a platform to collaborate, compete and innovate.

SDGs on Their Minds

LAU students took first and second prize at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Brain Lab competition and first in the Google Solution Challenge 2022 MENA for their innovative ideas.
