LAU partnered with the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, in an innovative approach to addressing the universal challenge of the shortage of primary-care physicians, which also benefits LAU graduates in family medicine.

LAU and the Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut expanded their collaboration to ensure excellence and cultural diversity in academic programs, serving large communities on both ends of the agreement.

LAU marketing faculty, Dr. Lara Khabbaz and Dr. Zahy Ramadan, have been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Awards for the Arab World 2025, surpassing more than 700 submissions to the top eight.

Adding to its institutional accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–International (ACGME-I) in March, the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine has obtained accreditation for six residency programs.

Twenty-nine PharmD graduates were hooded, and one resident honored at the annual hooding ceremony, as they set out to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, professional integrity, and ethical responsibility.

The first PAX foundation workshop, initiated by LAU and PAX Trustee Ray Debbane and hosted at LAU, tackled issues confronting the water sector in Lebanon and proposed sustainable solutions. 

The Institute for Migration Studies and the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution convened scholars, policymakers and civil society representatives to help generate actionable insights for the country’s recovery.

A dedicated Faculty Research Exchange Day, hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research (GSR), encouraged LAU faculty to embrace interdisciplinary research and break the silos of their fields of study.
