In
response to the
humanitarian
catastrophe
unfolding in the
escalating conflict,
LAU has launched the
Emergency
Relief for
Lebanon campaign
to provide
education,
healthcare and above
all
hope to our
people.

The
LAU
Mobile
Clinics have
embarked
on
several relief
missions
that
offer
primary
care
services,
consultations,
screenings,
medications,
and
hygiene
and
first-aid
kits
to
the
displaced
nationwide.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Following
a
brief
interruption
in
the
first
few
days
of
the
conflict,
students
swiftly
resumed
classes
online
and
later
pivoted
to
a
hybrid
modality,
prioritizing
the
safety
of
those
unable
to
commute
to
campus.
They
were
also
offered
valuable
advice
on
how
to
cope
with
disruptions.

the ongoing crises
in the country, the
university continues
to make its mark in
research and
education. In
a historic
ranking,
LAU
tied for 5th place
in the Arab world in
the Times Higher
Education World
University Rankings
2025, achieving a
91.4 score in the
research
indicator.

recent
impactful
studies
by
LAU
faculty,
a
groundbreaking
discovery
by
the
genetics
team
at
the
Gilbert
and
Rose-Marie
Chagoury
School
of
Medicine
has
linked
the
POLD3
gene
to
adult-onset
hearing
impairment,
adding
yet
another
gene
to
the
list
associated
with
the
condition.
